Reader for Read program
I am a mother and a mother in law, a grandmother and a great grandmother. I was originally from the Kempsey area and came to work at Hawkesbury Hospital. I met my husband, moved to Windsor and the rest is history!
Apart from family life, I am also involved in all levels of the CWA of NSW, and volunteer with Hawkesbury’s Helping Hands. At the moment I am studying Volunteer Literacy Training atTAFE in order to help adults who have literacy problems. Reading for the children at a local pre-school occasionally is one of my great joys, and I also read a couple of the articles in the Hawkesbury Independent each month. My ambition is to have enough time to read the library of books that I have stored – although when I told my late husband that he told me that no one lives until they are 300!
