Hawkesbury Eco Hour

 

Eric is a Hawkesbury resident who has been bushwalking and birdwatching in the Hawkesbury since childhood. He enjoys sharing his passion for birdlife through walks for the Hawkesbury Environment Network, Bushcare, and other community groups. As a HEN committee member he advocates for the area’s environment, habitat protection and wildlife. He is also active in Land for Wildlife and as part of an ongoing Koala habitat restoration project in Kurrajong Hills.

Lyn is a dedicated environmental advocate and a member of the Hawkesbury Environment Network. She’s passionate about protecting local ecosystems and empowering the community. Lyn works full time in a senior marketing role, and brings valuable expertise to advocacy work. Whether collaborating on local projects or sharing information and insights on issues, Lyn is an active volunteer, committed to making a positive impact in the Hawkesbury region.

Nick Soudakoff is an organic farmer and a life-long environment and community activist. He serves as the Secretary of the Hawkesbury Environment Network (HEN), an organisation dedicated to environmental education and conservation in the Hawkesbury region. In this role, he has been a vocal advocate for the protection of the area’s endangered koala population, emphasising the urgent need for a Koala Plan of Management (KPoM) to safeguard their habitats from urban development and other threats. He is passionate about local food security and helped start the Bilpin Seed Savers in 2018. He is also a committee member of the Bilpin Garden Club and an active member of Macquarie Alliance for Climate.
